Participation and accessibility in groups with special needs can also be improved with information and communication technology solutions. FAIDD promotes the use of cutting-edge information technologies and technological solutions by providing ICT training and consultation.

The Tikas ICT training model for student groups with special needs is based on solid technological know-how. The Tikas model offers students special support with learning basic ICT skills.

The individually customised training services and workshops carried out by the Communication and Technology Centre Tikoteekki at FAIDD provide opportunities to learn at a deeper level about the possibilities to support learning through teaching and rehabilitation software. The training can centre, not only on learning about the software already available on the market, but also on constructing your own software applications using, for example, the PowerPoint programme.
