The Kevali collection of the FAIDD library offers domestic and international research information on disabilities – especially intellectual and developmental disabilities – disability services and service quality, the life conditions and welfare of people with disabilities, and professional methods and tools.
Over 10000 titles and more than 14000 volumes are registered in the collection – books, serial publications, articles, as well as special education teaching material in the form of books and audio/visual recordings. The collection includes the central scientific periodicals concerned with disability and journals of social welfare and health organisations. The collection also offers an extensive selection of plain-language books published in Finnish. In addition to the collection on the library site, also the reference library of the Technology and Communication Centre Tikoteekki is registered in the Kevali collection.
