Teaching Material Centre Opike produces domestic teaching and rehabilitation material for people with different learning needs, as well as professional literature. Opike also adapts international teaching and rehabilitation material to Finnish conditions. All the material is based on pedagogical knowledge and field testing.

Some twenty new titles are produced every year: textbooks, teaching games, plain-language books, computer programs, web material, audiovisual material, and method and guidebooks.

Opike also provides training and guidance connected with the material.

Teaching material exhibition

Our sales exhibition in Helsinki is located in the Malmi district at Viljatie 4 C, 00700 Helsinki. The exhibition is open from Tuesdays to Fridays, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. or by appointment.

Opike also maintains a sales exhibition in the town of Pieksämäki in conjunction with the Pieksämäki Folk High School’s library at Huvilakatu 31, 76130 Pieksämäki. Its opening hours are Mon.-Wed. 9 a.m – 5 p.m., Thurs. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Fri. 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The material is also displayed at fairs and other training events in the field.

Opike product catalogue

Opike publishes annually a product catalogue where all the FAIDD products are compiled. The catalogue is only available in Finnish.
