FAIDD has participated in development cooperation in Zambia for more than twenty years.

Our main partner is ZAEPD (Zambia Association on Employment for Persons with Disabilities), which especially focuses on improving the employment opportunities through vocational training.

One of the results arising from the partnership of ZAEPD and FAIDD is Suzyo (“problem”), a video that deals with the experiences of a young woman with intellectual disabilities in Zambia.

Themes addressed in this fictional story include the position of intellectually disabled persons in families and general attitudes towards disability.
